However, there are a few things you need to know before the session if you really want the best possible result. What's more, specific care is required once the appointment is over to ensure that the tattoo lasts as long as possible.

How to prepare for your appointment

  1. Ensuring that all our daily chores are completed (showering, washing up, cleaning, etc.). Henna is a relaxing art, inviting you to slow down your pace and enjoy the present moment.
  2. If you're planning to book a manicure or pedicure, it's important to have it done BEFORE your henna tattoo appointment, so as not to damage the tattoo and preserve its lifespan.
  3. We recommend shaving or waxing the area to be tattooed. Hair will interfere with henna application and the final result will not be optimal.
  4. Do not apply any products to the area to be tattooed. Moisturizers and greasy products interfere with the penetration of henna into the skin.
  5. It is advisable to exfoliate the area to be tattooed, so that there is no dry skin. Henna disappears as quickly as the skin cells die and fall off.

How do I care for my henna tattoo?

  1. Please take care to protect your tattoo from damage. Medical adhesive tape (Hypafix) will be provided at the appointment, to hold and protect the henna paste on your skin.
  2. Remove bandages after 8 hours WITHOUT using water. Avoid water for the next 24 hours When you go into the shower or swimming pool, apply a greasy product (Vaseline, oils, vitamin E, etc.) to protect your tattoo from water.
  3. If you sunbathe, be sure to protect the tattooed area. Sunburn will shorten the life of your tattoo.
  4. Avoid rubbing and scratching your tattoo.
  5. Moisturize your tattoo regularly.
