HOW DOES AN APPOINTMENT TO TEST YOUR FUTURE TATTOO WORK?
First of all, it's essential that you share your vision with me so that I can prepare the appointment properly. Depending on the complexity of the project, a stencil may or may not be prepared in advance. During the appointment, I use jagua gel, a natural and painless product, to temporarily complete your project. Once the tattoo is complete, it must dry and then be kept on the skin for 4 hours. Hypafix dressings facilitate this process, allowing you to get on with your day without worry. After 4 hours, you can remove the bandages and clean the tattoo with soap and water.
The jagua pigment develops after around 24 hours: as it oxidizes on contact with air, it will evolve from pale grey to a very dark blue. Depending on the location of the tattoo and the care taken, it can last from 1 to 3 weeks, giving you time to appreciate its appearance.
You can also test the same tattoo several times, making modifications at each appointment. Of course, this process in no way commits you to a permanent tattoo later on.
It's important to be aware of the risks involved in using jagua. Although it is 100% natural, it can sometimes cause skin reactions. For more information on these risks, please consult this page .
If you prefer to avoid jagua, you can also try tattooing with henna, a natural, hypoallergenic product. Although the result is less realistic than with jagua, it still allows you to visualize the future tattoo on your skin.
